  • Susan Macdonald

    Host, writer, producer

As a TV & radio show host, producer, columnist, content creator, and consultant, Susan Lee MacDonald’s passion for bridging and cultivating understanding between East and West has led her to working on numerous projects and programs on both sides of the Pacific.

In her latest role as TV talk show host for Arirang TV’s award winning program, The INNERview, Susan has helped to showcase the lives of amazing people and tell their stories to a global audience in 188 countries. Directly involved in every phase of production, her hands-on approach has attracted the attention of industry executives who call upon her as a consultant for new and existing programs, and Susan gladly shares her expertise in media, interviewing, language and production with new producers and writers.

From her background working in finance and consulting to later include media and education, Susan has used her extensive NE Asia regional knowledge and expertise in cross-cultural communications, PR, and leadership training for public and private organizations in the US and Korea and as spokesperson for educational institutions and organizations. She has served as Executive Director of The Padma Institute, LLC and worked as an advisor and consultant to several prominent organizations and individuals in media, politics, education and finance in the US and Korea.

An avid hiker, on her days off, you might meet her on many trails throughout Korea or the US or see her dancing and karaoke-ing to Journey and Queen after work. Susan volunteers at the US Army Garrison Yongsan for the Public Affairs Office, and also arranges groups of disadvantaged children and adults where she enlists volunteers to teach ESL in Seoul. Susan received her Master’s degree in Education (EdM) in Human Development and Psychology from Harvard University, and she also holds a BA in Political Science & French Literature from Columbia University, and an MA in Korean Studies from Seoul National University.
